Uranium mining not safe, research shows Print

by Robin Davis (Letter to the Editor)
The Greeley Tribune
December 23, 2007

After extensive research, the Colorado Medical Society came to the same conclusion as we have: Uranium mining is not safe. The Colorado Medical Society has adopted a resolution that states this fact. Go to www.ncbr.com/article.asp?id=89885 for details.

I call on all elected officials to do what they can to help protect the public. We rely on you to keep us safe and help us maintain our quality of life. All city councils can adopt resolutions declaring that uranium mining does not fit within their master plans. All county commissioners could do the same.

Our state representatives can adopt legislation that will upgrade regulations to enforce clean water, clean air and sustainable living. State legislators, please vote for the bill sponsored by Rep. Randy Fischer, D-Fort Collins; Rep. John Kefalas, D-Fort Collins; Sen. Steve Johnson, R-Fort Collins, and Sen. Brandon Shaffer, D-Boulder.

Go to www.nunnglow.com, and check out the facts. Also go to www.powertechuranium.com to see that we use the same facts as they do. The facts just don't lie.
