Is the Potential for Uranium Mining Changing Fort Collins's National Image? |
|
|
For years, Fort Collins and other communities in northern Colorado have placed high on various lists of the best places to live in the U.S. However, as the prospects increase for uranium mining just north of Fort Collins you can expect the following comment from Fred and Lin Esposito in Moraga, CA to be more indicative of a new image for Fort Collins: We were planning to move to the Fort Collins area in June. We were going to buy a small horse boarding property. Now, I don't think we will go near that area at all. Please fight that one (uranium mine) with everthing you have. Just wrong, Sorry to hear this bad news. Lin and Fred. This comment was published with the recent article in the Loveland Reporter-Herald: Mine opposition has say - Petition gains 5,700 signees.
