It's not over yet in Colorado. Print

House Bill 1161 passed, which is a huge success for everybody who cares about the water and the water quality in Colorado. BUT for now this is only 'a piece of paper' and nothing more.

Powertech has announced that they will 'help' to implement the law into regulations. In plain words they want to 'water it down' to their advantage and render it useless. They also announced that they will lobby to change/weaken HB 1161 in next years legislative period.

And Powertech is not alone. At least 6 companies from all over the world started the process to open uranium mines in Colorado. Colorado is one of the states with the most uranium resources but the worst uranium mining regulations.

CARD (www.nunnglow.com) is in need of funding. To REALLY help with the implementation of HB 1161 into clear and strong regulations many thousands of dollars are necessary to hire the needed experts.

This is not the time to lay back and think somebody else will take care of it!
